Όπως ανακοίνωσε η αστυνομία στην Καμπάλα, ο Jean Bosco Uwinkindi, γεννημένος το 1951, πάστορας, συνελήφθη την Τετάρτη, στη δυτική Ουγκάντα.
Ο Ουγουινκίντι είναι στη λίστα των έντεκα πλέον καταζητούμενων από το (ΤPRI) υπόπτων για γενοκτονία και για εγκλήματα κατά της ανθρωπότητας.

Το 1994 με αφορμή τον θάνατο του τότε προέδρου της χώρας ξέσπασαν ταραχές που οδήγησαν στην γενοκτονία περισσότερων του ενός εκατομμυρίου Τούτσι από τούς Χούτου.
Λόγω των ταραχών εκατομμύρια κάτοικοι εγκατέλειψαν την χώρα. Το γεγονός αυτό έχει χαρακτηριστεί από τον ΟΗΕ ως γενοκτονία.
The Rwanda Genocide was one of worst genocides to occur in the 20th century. Taking place in 1994, hundreds of thousands of Tutsis (a Rwandan ethnic class) were killed in the small African country of Rwanda.

KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) - A Rwandan pastor facing charges of genocide and crimes against humanity during Rwanda's 100-day slaughter has been arrested in Uganda 16 years later, a police spokeswoman said Friday.
Ugandan police handed Jean-Bosco Uwinkindi to Interpol, and he has been taken to the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Tanzania where he will face trial, said Judith Nabakooba, a Ugandan police spokeswoman.
Uwinkindi is accused of inciting and directing dozens of attackers to kill Tutsis during the 100-day genocide that began in April 1994. At least 500,000 members of the Tutsi ethnic minority and moderates from the Hutu majority were slaughtered during the Rwandan genocide.
